Founder and President

Professor Yang Yang

Prof. Yang received his Ph.D. in Physics and Applied Physics from the University of Massachusetts. His primary research interests encompass solar energy and high-performance electronic devices. He has authored more than 500 peer-reviewed publications, holds more than 30 issued patents, and has delivered over 200 plenary, keynote, and invited talks. His publications have received more than 174,000 citations, with an H-index of approximately 198.

Currently, Prof. Yang serves as the Carol and Lawrence E. Tannas Jr. Endowed Chair Professor at UCLA. He is an Academician of Academia Sinica and a Fellow of the National Academy of Inventors, the European Academy of Sciences, the American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS), the Materials Research Society (MRS), the Royal Society of Chemistry (RSC), the American Physical Society (APS), the Electromagnetic Academy, and SPIE, the international society for optics and photonics. In 2021 he was inducted into the Advanced Materials Hall of Fame, and he was recognised as a Highly Cited Researcher by Thomson Reuters (now Clarivate Analytics) in three fields: Materials Science (2013–2016), Chemistry (2017–2019) and Physics (2020). In 2019 he received the Sustainable Energy Award from the Royal Society of Chemistry.

In 2023 Prof. Yang founded MoleculaX Inc., a technology company focused on advancing next-generation optoelectronic technologies through innovative materials and device solutions.

Open positions

Chemists and device engineers

We plan to strategically recruit 3–4 team members in the near future and establish a dedicated device team to strengthen our capabilities in materials development, device fabrication and performance testing.

Ready for a challenge? Get in touch with us.

The first of those roles is open now: a junior chemist for organic and polymer synthesis. Further positions will be posted on the careers page as they open.
