N-25

N-25 is an organic small molecule designed to replace the conventional fullerene derivative PCBM as the electron transport layer in p-i-n perovskite solar cells. It is processed from aromatic solvent systems and, in the stack shown here, is capped by BCP beneath the silver electrode.

Processing notes

  • N-25 is deposited where PCBM would normally sit, immediately below the BCP buffer layer and the silver electrode.
  • No dopant is required.
