Privacy policy

How we handle information collected through this website.

Effective date: 1 January 2026 · Last reviewed: 1 January 2026

1. Who we are

This website is operated by MoleculaX, 73 N Vinedo Ave, Pasadena, CA 91107, United States. For any question about this policy or about personal information we hold, contact contact@moleculax.com.

2. The short version

This website is a static site. It does not run analytics, advertising or tracking scripts of any kind. It does not set cookies of its own. The enquiry form on our contact page has no server behind it: when you press send, your own email application opens with the message pre-filled, and nothing is transmitted to or stored by this website.

3. Information we collect

Information you send us by email

If you write to us — whether directly or through the contact form, which hands your message to your own email client — we receive whatever you choose to include: typically your name, organisation, email address, telephone number and the content of your enquiry. We use it solely to respond to you and to manage any resulting commercial relationship.

Server logs

Our hosting provider records standard technical request data (such as IP address, browser type, requested URL and timestamp) for security, abuse prevention and troubleshooting. These logs are generated by the hosting infrastructure, not by code on this website.

Embedded third-party content

Our contact page embeds a map from OpenStreetMap. When that map loads, OpenStreetMap Foundation receives your IP address and standard request data, and may set its own cookies. We do not control that processing; see the OpenStreetMap Foundation privacy policy for details. If you would prefer not to load it, you can reach us entirely by email instead.

4. What we do not do

  • We do not use analytics, advertising or behavioural tracking services.
  • We do not build profiles of visitors.
  • We do not sell, rent or trade personal information.
  • We do not use personal information for automated decision-making.

5. Legal bases and purposes

Where the EU or UK General Data Protection Regulation applies, we rely on the following legal bases:

  • Legitimate interests — responding to business enquiries and protecting the website from abuse.
  • Contract — where your enquiry leads to a commercial relationship we need to administer.
  • Legal obligation — where we are required to retain records.
  • Consent — where you have given it for a specific purpose; you may withdraw it at any time.

6. Sharing and international transfers

We share personal information only with service providers who help us operate (for example email and hosting providers), and only to the extent necessary. Some of those providers may process data outside your country, including in the United States. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses.

7. Retention

We keep business correspondence for as long as needed to deal with your enquiry and to maintain the commercial relationship, then for any period required by law. When information is no longer needed, we delete it.

8. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete or restrict processing of your personal information, to object to processing, to receive your data in a portable format, and to withdraw consent. California residents have additional rights under the CCPA/CPRA, including the right to know, delete and correct, and the right not to be discriminated against for exercising those rights. To exercise any right, email contact@moleculax.com. We will respond within the period required by applicable law.

9. Security

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect information we hold. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. Because the contact form transmits nothing to our servers, the most sensitive step — sending your message — happens entirely within your own email client.

10. Children

This website is directed at professional and research audiences and is not intended for children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The effective date at the top of this page will always reflect the current version.
